ww2dbaseAs Germany and the Soviet Union divided Poland, representatives of the secret police organizations of Germany and the Soviet Union met four times to coordinate efforts in the suppression of Polish resistance. The first such meeting took place in Brzesc nad Bugiem, Poland (now Brest, Belarus) on 27 Sep 1939. The second conference took place in either Przemysl or Lwów in Poland in Nov or Dec 1939. The third conference took place in Zakopane, Poland on 20 Feb 1940, attended by Adolf Eichmann, Grigoriy Litvinov, and others. The fourth and final Gestapo-NKVD conference began in Mar 1940 in Krakow, Poland.

Gestapo-NKVD Conferences Timeline

20 Feb 1940 Representatives of the German Gestapo organization (including Adolf Eichmann) and the Soviet NKVD organization (including Grigoriy Litvinov) met at Zakopane, Poland to coordinate the suppression of Polish resistance efforts.
