- Thomas Masaryk's Czech Legion commenced its move from Kiev to Vladivostok in accordance with an agreement made with Moscow earlier in the year that the 30,000-man Czech force (many of whose senior officers were Russians) should be transferred to the Western Front. ww2dbase [AC]
