ww2dbaseJapanse airfield in Shoka (now Changhua) in central Taiwan was located in a position that straddles between Rokko (now Lugang) and Fukuko (now Fuxing) districts in the western edge of the city of Shoka, on the coast of the Taiwan Strait. It was protected by small flak towers and a canal system (which acted in the same capacity as a moat). Due to its location, it was referred to in American action reports as "Rokko Airfield".
