That's an MG34 not an MG13. You just have to see how it is carried, with the double split sling that Mgs 34 and 42 use, not the MG13.

LOOKS LIKE A TURN DOWN DAY:
WEAPONS MG13 LIGHT MACHINE GUN IN 7.92x57mm AND THE 98K BOLT-ACTION RIFLE IN 7.92x57mm W/FIVE ROUND INTERNAL BOX MAGAZINE.
LOOKS LIKE THOSE TWO TROOPS, LEFT OF PHOTO, ARE HUMPING A TRI-POD AND EXTRA AMMO FOR THE MG13.
TROOPS COULD BE ISSUED THE M1936 UNIFORM IN FIELD GRAY,M1935 STEEL HELMET,PERSONAL EQUIPMENT BREAD BAG,"Y" HARNESS,M1931 WATER BOTTLE(CANTEEN),AMMO POUCHES,ENTRENCHING TOOL(SHOVEL)MESS KIT AND SHELTER HALF/BED ROLL
ANYWAY THIS IS MY GUESS...
