OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY: DID YOU KNOW...

Wars end the British deep sixth (dumped overboard)new or low time F4U Corsairs off their carriers
did they ask permission first? we'll never know but excuse me weren't those fighters given under lend-lease.

They should have been returned in operational condition to the US Government, after all those fighters were bought and paid for by the American Tax Payer so the US Navy could use them or scrap them.
A few years later in Korea those very same Corsairs would have been very useful as ground support aircraft for the troops on the ground.
