The torpedo splash & track seen on the right of this photo are from the torpedo dropped from Ens Don V Parker’s TBM Avenger from Torpedo Squadron 80 from the USS Ticonderoga. Parker’s torpedo, along with bomb hits from Lt George Center’s SB2C Helldiver from Bombing Squadron 80, were largely credited with Yasoshima’s sinking.
