The ship behind the HMS Edinburg is not a destroyer but a cruiser of the New Orleans class.

Correction: The cruiser is probably USS Wichita which was the American flagship for this convoy.

This is not the Wichita. The Wichita had a twin catapults and a crane on her stern.
