FORMATION FLYING: WATCH OUT FOR THE TOMMIES
Middle aircraft could be Do-17 of Stab/KG3 code (5k+EA). During the Battle of Britain Do-17 crews armed their aircraft with more 7.92mm MG17 machine guns as they could carry, to fight off RAF fighters.
Standard ammo load for the Do17 was 3 x 7.92 MG's w/3,000 rounds in 44 drum magazines, even up to 5 7.92mm machine guns and later 1 x 20mm cannon w/400 rounds
