This plane was shot down 1 Dec 1943 on a raid to Leverkusen, Germany and crash landed at Boich, Germany. All 10 crew were taken prisoner.

I think this might be the b17 plane that my uncle 1st Lt Jens Weiby piloted on 12-1-1943(I know he was not piloting his own plane---but a different one that day)--they were shot down 12-1-1943; he was assigned 323BS/91BG Bassingbourn 21/10/43 & later assigned 401BS; MIA Leverkusen: CR Leutesdorf Germany. He was reported alive originally; but eventually buried in Netherlands--any info is appreciated.Kind of a history nut. Thank you. Pat Watt
