Man on guard has on his belt RPG-40 or RPG-41 (hand anti-tank grenade), not RGD-33.

i knew or I read somewhere that this photo was taken during the siege of Kiev of 1941, that was a crushing German victory and indeed it brought about the final German defeat more than the same true German single lost battles, because in winning this battle Germany lost the last precious month and a half to take Moscow , before the winter, with all the delays we knew from books of history; the sky seems to confirm a weather of autumn or spring; anyway the ppsh seems to confirm that maybe it was not the fighting for kiev

Man on the right seems to have an AVS-36 automatic rifle, not an SVT semi-automatic rifle.
You can see the large muzzle brake and long curved magazine is much more similar to the AVS-36 than the SVT.

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

PHOTO I HAVE DESCRIBES A WEARY SQUAD RESTING DURING THE STALINGRAD FIGHTING. WHEN THE DATE AND TIME THIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS TAKEN STILL REMAINS IN QUESTION.
LET'S SEE WHAT THESE RUSSIAN SOLDIERS HAVE BEEN ISSUED. M40 STEEL HELMETS, MAN ON GUARD WITH DP LIGHT MACHINE GUN, WINTER OVERCOAT,
AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE A RG-33 HAND GRENADE ON HIS BELT, MOST OF THE TIME, THE GRENADES WERE CARRIED IN A POUCH.
WHAT'S INTERESTING, IS ALL THREE MEN ARE WEARING CLOTH PUTTEES W/ANKLE BOOTS AND NOT THE STANDARD MARCHING BOOT, BUT THAN AGAIN NOTHING IS STANDARD IN THE RED ARMY.
THE TWO MEN ON THE LEFT, ARE ARMED WITH THE PPSh-41 SUB MACHINE GUN IN 7.62mm, FEED SYSTEM 71 ROUND DRUM MAGAZINE AND A 35 ROUND BOX MAGAZINE, THEY ALSO WARE THE WINTER GREATCOATS. THE MAN ON THE RIGHT, HAS BEEN ISSUED THE SVT SEMI-AUTO RIFLE IN 7.62x54 FEED SYSTEM, 10 ROUND BOX MAGAZINE.
