This is a photo of B-24D-20-CO-41-24218, one of the original cadre of bombers that became the 308BG of the 14AAF in China. It was shot down by Japanese fighters on a mission to bomb Haiphong 15-Aug-1943.

The nose art identifies this aircraft as "Daisy May." There was a successor B-24J model also named "Daisy May" (s/n as yet unknown).

The s/n of the successor B-24J DAISY MAY has been determined to be 42-73313, 14AF 308BG 375BS
