FRITZ: FOR YOU THE WAR IS OVER

Allied soldiers guard German paratroopers, I wonder what made the Germans throw in the towel?
Let's see what eveybody's been issued.

GERMAN PARATROOPS:

The paras have been issued camouflaged smocks w/baggy camouflaged trousers, short ankle boots, the M38 was a modified steel helmet cut down and designed with special support webbing and straps for paratroop use.
Second man on the left holds the rank of Lance Corporal-Major, and the ranking enlisted man in charge, third man on the left has been issued the standard Fliegerbluse/Trousers in blue gray.

NEW ZEALAND INFANTRYMAN:

Troops wore standard British army web equipment. I don't see any rank on them. One man has been issued the .45 Thompson sub-machine gun the other could be an Officer or NCO he's holding a Webley, Enfield or a Smith & Wesson revolver.
Standard battle dress and 1937 web equipment, the
Mk II steel helmet and short ankle boots.

and Commonwealth service.
