Roosevelt certainly does not look pleased with the King considering the King was a Nazi sympathiser I am not surprised.

As for being a Nazi sympathizer, you may have King George VI confused with his brother, The Duke of Windsor and former king. The Duke of Windsor had a famous meeting with Hitler in 1937, before war broke out, where he was photographed giving the Nazi salute. The Duke of Windsor’s sympathies were well known at the time, which is why he was “banished” to become the Governor of Bermuda for the rest of the war. There has never been any serious thought about King George VI’s having any loyalties except to Britain.
