CAPTURED WULF:
Focke-Wulf FW190 captured by the 85th FS/79th FG
at Gerbini, Sicily September 1943 a/c was later shipped to the U.S. tested and evaluated at Anacostia NAS, Washington, DC.
CHANGE OF COLOR:
The FW190 was repainted the fuselage was painted white, engine cowling red markings were red outline on star and bar fuselage and wings, tail had per-war rudder stripes of red, white and blue
