SPOILS OF WAR:

The Soviets captured vast amounts of German Military Equipment during the war.
Weapons that were salvaged or used as source for spare parts were refurbished, issued or put into storage.

After WWII these weapons were taken out of storage and given to Communist or Socialist Client States around the world.
The post-war decades, have seen German StG/MP 44's and other WWII weapons in the hands of Socialist, Communist or other post-war Political Groups...
