Nakajima J1N1-R with experimental turret
with a 20mm cannon.
Most Gekko's were used in kamikaze attacks
and carried two 250kg/551 lb bombs.
Of interest was the Sakae 21 and 22 engines
driving opposite roating propellers, like
the famous Lockheed P-38.
A total of 479 aircraft were built. Only one
aircraft survives today, it is on display at
the Nationa Air & Space Museum located in
Washington, DC, USA.

This is actually a J1N1-F, a proposed recon variant that wasn't continued with, note the spherical 20mm turret behind the pilot's position.
