HOT CHOW IN THE FIELD:
IN THE INFANTRY ANYTHING IS AN INPROVEMENT...

Interesting photo let's take a look at the Counts uniform of the day. Looks like the Count has a French side cap and has been issued a GI Herring-Bone Twill fatigue uniform, M1936 webb belt and
holster for his M1911 .45 Automatic w/extra magazine pouch and M43 GI boots
w/leather ankle straps and the two-part GI mess kit.

Check out the Counts bamboo walking cane and his helmet, it looks to me like a
French motorcycle helmet w/comb in the front of the helmet, without the leather ear protectors, it could even be a Spanish or an Italian tanker helmet. This is only my guess, if anyone has more information post it hear...

MIX AND MATCH:

During WWII Free French Forces were supplied with US military equipment some troops were issued the GI M-1 helmet, while others wore the French Adrian helmet along with a mix of French & U.S. equipment

UNIFORM OF THE DAY:

Let's see what the Count has been issued. Looks like the Count is wearing a French side cap, GI issue Herring-Bone olive drab M1943 coverall, M1936 webb belt w/
brown leather holster and M1911 .45 Cal. Automatic w/
extra ammo magazine pouch along with M1936 webbing suspenders, M1943 pattern boots w/leather ankle straps
and his GI issue two-piece mess kit issued w/knife, fork and spoon.
Check out the Counts bamboo walking stick, his
weapon could be the Garand M-1 semi-auto rifle in 30.06. His head gear is not the French Adrian helmet, it looks like it could be a French motorcycle helmet, a Spanish or even an Italian tanker helmet, I'm only if anyone can identify post it here, but I'm guessing here. Vehicle is the GI Willies Jeep
