My Great Uncle was a AMM2C/turret gunner on a TMB. He served on the USS San Jancito and the USS Cowpens. Family history has it that
" Uncle Ozzie " was shot down four times and came back. Helstowski was his last name. I would like to know what VMB squadrons he served, and what battles he fought. Thanks.
