My father was taken from Holland during 1941-2 to work on Uboats in Hamburg.
His Identification card lists Howaldstwerke as the shipyard where he must have worked.
My father died a few years ago and never wanted to be reminded of his war years in forced labor in Hamburg--he survived the bombing in 1943.
I am seeking information and perhaps a visit to gain a greater understanding of what he went thru and where he may have worked and lived during his time in Hamburg.
I will appreciate any information, contacts or links that you may be able to provide
