National Aviation Establishment the PLZ.37
Los was considered to be at that time, one
of the best medium bombers, due to its speed
performance and bombload.
Deliveries were slow due to delays of radio
equipment, guns ,bomb racks and propellers.
In August the Polish Air Force had about 86
aircraft on strength.
During the German invasion of Sept. 1939 the
PLZ.37 suffered heavy losses. With the fall
of Poland, many crews flew their aircraft to Romania, among them were PZL.37's.
About 24 PZL.37's were impressed into the
Romanian Air Force.
The Germans captured two and sent them to
Rechin Test Center for evaluation. Russians The Russians also captured some aircraft, and tested them. No PZL.37 bombers survive
today.
