I served in E troop 7th Cav. under the command of General Vernon Mudge I ask to see what awards he may have been awarded I got no answer. He was a very good officer the men all liked him. He first came to the 1st Cav. at fort Bliss in 1942. I got nothing but praise for McArthur with my inquire. General Not a dam thing for General Mudge. Mudge got wounded on Luzon by a *** hand grenade We all loved him.Rifle Platoon Sgt. Jacob C. Myres E troop 7th Cav Five years in service
