Messerschmitt Me210 tested at the 1st Tachikawa Army Air Arsenal. This was one of Japan's major aviation & research establishments to test and evaluated both captured allied aircraft and new Japanese prototype aircraft during WWII.

At wars end the area was heavily damaged by B-29 raids made this area unserviceable at wars end.
In 1947 the U.S. 7th Air Force took over this area an established an airbase. Today its now shared and also operated by the Japanese.

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."
