DID YOU KNOW:
American actor Neville Brand fought at the Battle of the Bulge in 1944.
Received the Silver Star for valor, Purple Heart, (CIB) Combat Infantryman's Badge among his other decorations. Received an Honorable Discharge in 1945 after recovering from his wounds.
Later went on to play heavies and supporting roles in TV and Film.

Interesting, never have seen a M1919A4 referred to as a "heavy" machine gun, most references classify it as either a light or medium MG.

Gotta be another unit. 45th Infantry Division never served in Belgium. It was part of the 7th U.S. Army which way to the south along the French/German Border.

To Anonymous of 10 Dec 2019: Thank you. After further research, the team concluded that this photo is likely of 45th Division men indeed, but the location is more likely to be Niederbronn-les-Bains, France rather than Belgium. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
