IF I WERE ONE OF THE CREW, I WOULD SAY, ALIVE
AND GOING HOME IN 1945...THEY KNEW, THE WAR WAS OVER, AND EVERY GI AND WOMAN IN THE WAVES, WASP, WAC, COAST GUARD AND MARINES, EVERY CIVILIAN ON THE HOME FRONT, WERE READY TO GET BACK TO THE BUSINESS OF LIVING. ASK ANY VETERAN OF ANY WAR.
WOULD I FEEL GULITY, HELL NO I SAY DROP THAT SUCKER TWICE! IF THE BOMB WOULD HAVE BEEN
AVAILABLE TWO YEARS EARLER, THE WAR WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER IN 1943.
LESSONS LEARNED: EVIL NEVER SLEEPS

'DROP THAT SUCKER TWICE'
My, aren't we bloodthirsty...
I agree with Truman's decision to bring the war to a speedy end by using the bombs. I don't feel as though the atomic bombs were any more or less moral than a bayonet. But I don't thrill to it...sheesh.
