FLAT AND OPEN.
The Tiger could fire at targets at long range
the 88mm gun was very accurate and capable of first round hits at over 1,000 meters.
2,000 meter kills, have been recorded, this
allowed the Tiger to stand off and engage targets. sort of pick and chose

Hi all
Tiger 1 had a fantastic range, 2 kilometers was a reasonably easy shot, Kurt Knispel killed a Russian T 34 at 3,000 meters. There is so much talk about the T34 being the best tank ever built, sorry it came a long way behind the Tiger series of tanks

KILL ZONE:

A Tiger could take out a target at 3,000 meters w/armored-piercing, and 5,000 meters w/HE rounds.

MAIN ARMAMENT:

1 x 8.8cm Kw. K.36 L/56 rifled cannon. Gunsite TZF9b with later improved TZF9c, armed w/92 rounds with later modification made to carry 106 up to 120 rounds.

SECONDARY ARMAMENT:

2 x 7.92mm machine guns w/4800 rounds gunsite K.Z.F. 2..
