ww2dbaseYasunori Yoshioka was born in 1890. Between 1934 and 1935, he was an instructor at the Japanese Army Military Academy. In 1935, he was made the military attaché to Emperor Kangde of the Japanese-sponsored puppet state of Manchukuo; he would remain in this role until the end of the war in 1945. In Jul 1941, he was made the chief of staff of the Japanese 44th Army, also known as the Kwangtung Defense Army, based in Xinjing, the capital of Manchukuo. In Jul 1942, he was detached from the 44th Army and was assigned to the Kwantung Army. At the end of the war, he was captured by the Soviet Union and would die in imprisonment in 1947.
