There are many museums in London that detail Britain's experience during World War II. Some of the most well known museums fell under the jurisdiction of the Imperial War Museum with one of them being the warship HMS Belfast, which is located on the Thames River in London. A veteran of World War II in both the Atlantic and Pacific as well as in Korea during the 1950-1953 war, HMS Belfast escaped the scrap yard and became the third museum under the Imperial War Museum's jurisdiction in 1978.

After introductions and forwards from the director-general of the Imperial War Museum, the book Imperial War Museum: HMS Belfast provides the history of the warship from when it was built to when it became a museum ship. It then provides details on the capabilities of the warship as well as the different compartments that made up the ship and gives a description of what it would have been like for the Belfast's crew. To do so, the book divides the description of the ship into eight zones. Within the pages of the book, there are also a large number of pictures both modern and black-and-white as well as diagrams of the ship that help bring the details about the ship, her service, and her crew to life. At the end of the book, there are three pages that talk about the museum services that are at the HMS Belfast Museum.

For those interested in buying the book, it can be bought at the site: https://shop.iwm.org.uk/p/12323/HMS-Belfast-Guidebook.
