ww2dbaseI-369, a 1440-ton "D1" type transport submarine, was built at Yokosuka, Japan. Completed in October 1944, she was converted in early 1945 to carry "Kaiten" man-guided torpedoes. I-369 was surrendered with the Japanese Navy's other surviving warships in September 1945 and scrapped in about 1946.

I-369 Operational Timeline

9 Oct 1944 Submarine I-369 was completed at the Yokosuka Navy Yard, Japan as a Type D1 Tei-gata transport submarine. She was commissioned into service under the command of Lieutenant Shigeo Matsushima.
15 Dec 1944 Submarine I-369 was assigned to Submarine Squadron 7 of the Japanese 6th Fleet.
21 Jan 1945 Submarine I-369 departed Yokosuka, Japan with supplies for Minamitorishima (Marcus Island).
28 Jan 1945 Submarine I-369 arrived at Minamitorishima (Marcus Island), Japan.
5 Feb 1945 Submarine I-369 arrived at Yokosuka, Japan.
12 Feb 1945 Submarine I-369 departed Yokosuka, Japan with supplies for Chichi Jima, Japan.
21 Feb 1945 Submarine I-369 arrived at Yokosuka, Japan.
20 Mar 1945 Submarine I-369 was reassigned to Submarine Division 16 as her original unit, Submarine Squadron 7, became deactivated.
22 Mar 1945 Lieutenant Commander Masato Nakajima became the commanding officer of Submarine I-369.
16 Apr 1945 Submarine I-369 departed Yokosuka, Japan for Caroline Islands. She carried 0.312 tons of food, 6.303 tons of weapons and ammunition, 25 tons of fuel, and 4.4 tons of other cargo for Truk, and 38.9 tons of food and 2.6 tons of other cargo for Woleai.
1 May 1945 Submarine I-369 arrived at Truk, Caroline Islands. This would be the last submarine-transport to arrive at Truk in the Pacific War.
3 May 1945 Submarine I-369 departed Truk, Caroline Islands.
7 May 1945 Submarine I-369 arrived at Woleai, Caroline Islands.
11 May 1945 Submarine I-369 departed Woleai, Caroline Islands with 60 evacuees and 2 boxes of ashes of killed servicemen.
24 May 1945 Submarine I-369 arrived at Yokosuka, Japan.
25 May 1945 Submarine I-369 was taken out of commission for conversion into an aviation gasoline submarine-transport.
30 Aug 1945 Submarine I-369 was surrendered to the Americans.
15 Sep 1945 Submarine I-369 was removed from the Japanese Navy List.
