ww2dbaseGerman submarine U-822 was commissioned into service in Jul 1944. She was assigned to the 4th Submarine Flotilla for training, remained with that training unit until the end of the war. She was scuttled in Wesermünde (Bremerhaven), Germany in early May 1945 to prevent Allied capture. In 1948, her wreck was raised and broken up.
