ww2dbaseType XXI submarine U-3016 was commissioned into service in Jan 1945 under the command of Oberleutnant zur See Bernhard Meentzen. Having joined the German Navy late in the European War, she remained in 4th Submarine Flotilla, a training unit, through the end without having participated in any war patrols. She was scuttled at Travemünde, Lübeck, Germany in May 1945 to prevent Allied capture. She was later raised and broken up.
