Interesting subjects.. Fasinated by the number of ships, where they were build and where they ended up. For many their finale resting place. For the time and circumtances, it is great to have the history and if and when possible their location found.

My father was in WWII on the USS Besugo. I have a picture of it from February 27, 1944 being launched fro Groton, CT. My mother told me that my father had been lost under enemy lines during the war for 30 days and they thought they were dead but they resurfaced. I don't know if it was this ship or not.

Interesting to read accounts of the individuals associated with the SS 321 and others that are interested in its history. My father took command of this submarine in New London when it was launched.
