ww2dbaseThe 4TP light tank design was developed by Edward Habich of the Polish firm Panstwowe Zaklady Inzynieryjne (PZInz) in the mid-1930s; the design's name internal to the company was PZInz 140. Habich designed 4TP as a potential replacement to the TK-3 and TKS tankettes currently in Polish Army service, but ultimately only one prototype would be built as no contract was ever issued for more examples.
ww2dbaseThe chassis of the 4TP was the same as that of the PZInz 130 Light Amphibious Tank.
