ww2dbaseThe Soviet NR-40 scout knives were introduced in 1940. Each 152 millimeters long, they were most produced at the ZiK factory in Zlatoust, Russia in Central Asia. A special batch of NR-40 knives, in all black, were made in 1943 for the officers and men of the Soviet Ural Volunteer Tank Division, which would soon take on the nickname "Black Knife Division". Although NR-40 fighting knives had long since been removed from military service in Russia, the ZiK factory continued to manufacture these knives in approximate dimensions until this day.Source: Wikipedia ww2dbase

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill
