  • Heinrich Himmler talked openly about the Final Solution at a meeting in Posen, Reichsgau Wartheland, Germany (Poznan, occupied Poland), noting that he cared little about the livelihood of Czechoslovakians, Russians, and other peoples in occupied Eastern Europe since the conquered people were mere slaves to Germany. US Navy PB4Y-2 Privateer on patrol. This aircraft design was based on the B-24 Liberator but no super-charged engines and a tail design taken from the B-23 Dragon. The waist blisters seem to be inspired by the PBY Catalina. Date and location unknown.
