SICHERHEITSPOLIZEI:

The SD or Security Police was a intelligence service in Occupied Western and Eastern Europe. The SD had its own informants that were paid to gathered information on anybody, anyplace, anywhere.

UNIFORM OF THE DAY:

SD unit has been issued the M1933/34 medium duty helmet, some units, were even issued the WWI M1918 steel helmet. Man with SD sleeve diamond, rank looks like a Senior Lance Corporal
man with map care, rank looks like Sergeant-Major.
Standard field-gray M36 uniforms, greatcoats, Jackboots, map case and uniform cap.
Weapons K98 7.92mm rifle and holster for semi-automatic pistol of German or foreign make. Did you know that even revolvers were issued as far as they would go.

WHO'S WHO:

The Gestapo and the Krimminalpolizei (Kripo) were political police, that not only controlled populations in the occupied countries, but also kept the population in Nazi Germany under control through fear.
Other agencies were (Orpo) Order Police, (Sipo) Security Police, Urban Police, Rural Police and Municipal Police.
The SD also fought with the Gestapo and Abwehr Military Intelligence.

EVIL THAT MEN DO:

Did you know that men were recruited from the Gestapo, SD, Kripo, Orpo, and Waffen-SS for the infamous Einsatzgruppen, members wore the SD diamond insignia on their left uniform
sleeve.
The SD was instrumental in the "FINAL SOLUTION" of Jews in Europe, as well as other political and social groups of people.
