May 29, 1944 at 1413 underway with TG 12.5 (Yorktown, Monterey, Princeton, Mugford, McCall, Helm, Maury, Craven, Gridley, Bagley) bound for Majuro.

Air Group 1 would fly on board that evening. She arrived at Majuro on June 3, 1944 and joined Task Group 58.1.

On June 6, 1944 Task Force 58 sortied for Forager, the assault on the Marianas.
